SYSPRO WMS with DATASCOPE
DATASCOPE continues to invest heavily into new software modules and features. These new features are managed in a Product Roadmap with estimated delivery times. Some of the large exciting new developments that one can expect in 2018 are as follows.
NEW AND IMPROVED SOFTWARE HELP FILES
The new online help framework was completed in 2019. In 2020, we will be updating the help text to represent that latest version of software. We also plan to lay this out in a very user-friendly manner so that our Clients can become more self sufficient.
TASK MANAGEMENT AND TASK INTERLEAVING
An advanced module is currently in development that will manage tasks and drive operators on the floor at a task level. This will allow our clients to drive their operations with intelligent task allocation. The task-driven framework will allow users to customize their task allocation to allow for highly effective task interleaving. As an example, we could assign a picker a task to cycle count a bin location if we see that he is picking in the same area.
ANDROID MOBILE
We are on track to launch our HTML5 mobile device platform in 2020. This will operate on Android and will support Task Management and Interleaving. This platform will also support multiple languages. Each of the over 200 scanner application are being re-written into the new environment. A development tool box will allow users to copy existing scanner applications to a new menu and add their own scripted logic.
IMPROVED CYCLE COUNT SCHEDULER
The existing Cycle Counting Scheduler will be enhanced to give a more user friendly interface with a lot more tracking and control. An improved cycle count by stock code function will be delivered. Then in both the Cycle Count and Stock Count modules we will add the ability to trigger a task driven recount process.
IMPROVED ROLLBACKS
A number of modules are getting improved roll back functionality to effectively reverse transactions when IT infrastructure fails the environment. Focus will mainly go to the many packaging and checkout solutions as these modules process a wide range of transaction into SYSPRO and any system failure can result in manual invoicing.
ADVANCED KPI'S
The DATASCOPE WMS product already offers a wide range of reports and KPI tools but we intend to dramatically grow this side of the software. We want to ensure the KPI software will be integrated to the DATASCOPE WMS offering together with a wide range of standard SQL views.
Many other features will be developed in 2018. this list is only a “taste” of what one can expect
